Such was our experience prior to and in Fishguard. Once we had the laundry in the launderette, shopped for the provisions for the next bout of camping, replaced some ailing equipment, one of us had a haircut and the other sought some medical advice. Following the burst of energy that the admin tasks always require if they are to get done, we retired to Mannings coffee shop in Fishguard with a copy of the Guardian newspaper where we drank too much coffee and ate far, far too food, particularly cake, whilst trying hard not to fall asleep on the table. I'm sure Fishguard is a nice place, unfortunately, I cannot tell you too much about it other than to say it is a nice little town with some nice, traditional shops and cafes. Maybe if you visit you can let me know about its highlights.
We were very lucky with our accommodation, staying in a B&B run by a lovely couple who could not do enough for us (Adrian & Jen's B&B). The large bath was particularly attractive and I must admit to having at least three long soaks in the course of two days. Only a couple of doors down from the B&B there was an Indian restuarant where we ate at night and thoroughly enjoyed the meal which included the best paratha of our lives. It never fails to amaze me that after nearly forty years together; spending long walking days with only each other's company, we still find things to talk about over dinner. Amazing!
