We have enjoyed a nice day in Milford Haven resting and recuperating and catching up with laundry. After a bit of running around we retired to 'Gingers' Welsh bakery where we enjoyed a couple of hours in easy chairs with the Guardian newspaper and good food.
We move on tomorrow to an isolated peninsula where the opportunities to reprovision will be limited so we can about today buying supplies. With a run of camping in store, Wi-Fi might be limited so what follows is our walking plan for the next week. Tomorrow will be an interesting day as we try to make our way between two rivers that we need to cross at low tide if we are to avoid longer walks round them. For those who are interested in the detail of our next long section (with estimated mileage) it is as follows: Milford to Dale - 14 miles; Dale to Wooltack Point - 12miles; Wooltack to Druidston - 11miles; Druidston to St David's - 14miles; St David's to Pwll-caerog - 14miles; Pwll-caerog to St Nicholas - 12 miles; St Nicholas to Fishguard 13/14 miles. On this whole section the terrain becomes exceedingly hilly with lots of gullies. Thankfully, we will have another day off in Fishguard to recover before carrying on with the next section.
The local weather forecast for tomorrow is that it will be very warm again; nearly 10.30pm here and we are still melting in the heat. Thereafter it is uncertain but rain is expected definitely on Friday. Whatever the weather we are prepared and ready to walk. However, if the gear is too wet or the legs too tired, we may seek solace in a B&B for a night instead of camping, albeit we will still keep to the walking schedule.
A couple of days ago we passed the one hundred miles walked on this adventure and, with another couple of hundred still do before the half way point, we are in fine fettle. Long may it continue.
