When you are walking in the wind and the rain, when the feet ache and the joints don't work as they should, you can be prone to fantasizing about what you will do with your day off. The tired mind weaves all sorts of wonderful plans from the meals you will eat to the sights you will see. The reality can be more mundane. In part, the dreaming helps remove you from possible misery; in fact it is because you are just ever so slightly bonkers!
Such was our experience prior to and in Fishguard. Once we had the laundry in the launderette, shopped for the provisions for the next bout of camping and one of us had had a haircut; the kind you get if you walk through Faifley late on a Friday night, we retired to Mannings with a copy of the Guardian newspaper where we drank top much coffee and ate far too much cake, whilst trying hard not to fall asleep on the table. I'm sure Fishguard is a nice place, unfortunately, I cannot tell you too much about it. Maybe if you visit you can let me know about the highlights.
